Hanoi’s authority has clarified the anti-corruption work carried out by the city, despite the high complexity of the issue.
Hanoi has strictly enforced anti-corruption and economic cases, according to a report of Hanoi’s authority.
Politburo member, Minister of Public Security To Lam, who heads a working group of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption, acknowledged the report presented by Hanoi’s authority as well as the effort by the capital city’s administration in combating corruption.
Lam said that despite the short time working in Hanoi, the working group together with Hanoi’s authority has clarified the anti-corruption work carried out by the city, in spite of the high complexity of the issue.
The group’s inspection and supervision was carried out as planned to ensure its focus and coordination, and to avoid jamming the agencies’ operation, Lam said.
Lam recognized that Hanoi’s report has been prepared thoroughly, expressing the high sense of responsibility of the Hanoi Party Committee and functional agencies.
Besides, he appreciated the coordination of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee in fulfilling the delegation’s working content. The working group also noted Hanoi's proposals for solutions and recommendations to the Central Commission of Inspection.
For his part, Hanoi Party Secretary Hoang Trung Hai highly valued the significance and results of the working group.
Hai said that the city’s authority will seriously study the group’s evaluations and recommendations and take it as important guidelines so that the city could keep making strong changes in the coming time.
This is to prevent and step by step repel corruption, especially the inspection and supervision task of investigating and prosecuting and adjudicating serious corruption and economic cases, Hai stressed.
He requested the city’s relevant agencies to carefully prepare the content and well coordinate to work with the group in the time ahead.
