Hanoi to enhance prevention of child abuse and drowning

The Hanoi People’s Committee recently assigned the Hanoi Radio and Television to produce programs and broadcast the messages on preventing child violence, child abuse and drowning.

The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will work  with the Department of Information and Communication to give guidelines to People’s Committees of districts and towns to disseminate  the messages  on the communal and ward radio systems in the appropriate time frame.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has recently sent an Official Letter to the governments of cities and provinces requesting to disseminate the message on preventing child violence, child abuse and drowning in the area.

To comply with the  Prime Minister’s instruction to improve the awareness on protecting children and building safe living environment for them, the MoLISA gave two massages on preventing drowning and child abuse with the duration of nearly 60 second  each during  the Action Month for Children 2017 under the theme “Implementing the Law on children and preventing violence and child abuse”.

The MoLISA requested  People’s Committees of provinces and cities  to carry free broadcast of  the two messages on the local radio and television.
