Hanoi to have land management database in place soon

The heads of sub-municipal agencies are called upon to take specific measures to improve the satisfaction of the population and businesses with public services.

The Office of the Hanoi People’s Committee released announcement No.95, providing the conclusion of Hanoi Vice Chairman Nguyen Trong Dong on the works of issuance of certificates for land use rights, ownership of houses, and attached assets in the city.

In recent months, the city's Department of Natural Resources and Environment has been working on favorable policies to improve public satisfaction with land-related services.

According to statistics, the Hanoi Land Registry Bureau has issued 300,812 certificates out of a total of 368,337 for homeowners in housing projects, accounting for 81.6%. Home buyers in resettlement areas received 11,560 out of 15,724 certificates, or 92.6%.

In light of these positive results, Vice Chairman Nguyen Trong Dong urged the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Hanoi Land Registry Bureau to maintain their focus on the issuance of certificates and land registration for the people and businesses to achieve even better outcomes.

“Leaders of related units are requested to implement specific measures to address any shortcomings and limitations, and improve the satisfaction index of people and organizations regarding the service provided by State administrative agencies, as well as the administrative reform index of the unit,” Dong stated.

He also ordered the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to speed up the reorganization of various units under the land registration bureau to improve its structure and functions, as well as a public service pricing system for public assets before June 30.

"The early operation of a land management database and the application of IT in the process would help improve people's satisfaction with the city's services," Dong said.

In addition, the Hanoi Land Registration Department will continue to review and process assigned tasks, while strengthening inspection, supervision, and post-authorization guidance in land management through regulations.
