Hanoi to pilot using buses from Belarus

Deputy Minister Ogorodnikov Alexander Sergeyevich revealed, by the end of next month, Belarus would deliver some buses to Hanoi via Transport Corporation Hanoi for pilot operating. Until December, 2017, total of 32 buses coming to Hanoi will be ready to serve the city’s residents.
Mr Ogorodnikov Alexander Sergeyevich highly believes in the positive result of the pilot program and wish for the support of Hanoi authority.  
To his knowledge, Hanoi is targeting to enhance public transportation quality. Therefore, Deputy Minister Sergeyevich also affirmed of Belarus government’s willingness to share experience in design, construction and investment in Hanoi metro.

Introducing about Project of joint venture milk factory between Belarus and Vietnam in Hung Yen Province, Sergeyevich is in high hope that once it completed, Hanoi will be among the first markets to consume the high-qualified milk products from the factory.
Asserting the vast cooperation potentials between cities of Minsk and Hanoi, he pays high hope that bilateral municipal authorities would keep facilitating experts, enterprises to reinforce information exchanging, cooperating in transportation, healthcare, culture, trade etc.
Agreeing with suggestions from Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan affirmed Hanoi remarkable demand in adding more global emission standard public vehicles. “Until 2018, 300 among more than 1,400 buses of Hanoi would be replaced with the ones meeting international emission standard”, Toan said.
The Vice Chairman also said that, Hanoi always put first priority to Belarus buses and after the pilot period, the authority would evaluate their efficiency according to factors of technology, economy, and environment and then consider officially using in Hanoi.
In urban development field, especially in metro and sky railway construction, Hanoi authority always welcomes and creates favorable conditions to Belarusian designers, enterprises to take part in consulting, technology exchanging, constructing, investing…
In addition, Hanoi People’s Committee would consider consuming milk products from Vietnam-Belarus Joint venture Milk Factory in Hung Yen, based on quality and food safety criteria’s.
About heathcare cooperation, Belarus healthcare union initially dicussed with Belarus healthcare union about exchanging experience, equipment. “Hanoi are willing to facilitate related cooperation, with the final target to improve healthcare quality, serving Hanoi resident in the best way”, Vice Chairman Nguyen Doan Toan pressed.
Via discussing, both sides also came to conclusion that bilateral authorities would keep contact, exchange information to seek for potential cooperation chances between Hanoi and Minsk enterprises, as well as that of Vietnam and Belarus. The sound good traditional friendship relation of the two countries, two capitals would play as firm background for upcoming cooperation.
Economic cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus has developed significantly, with two-way trade reaching US$94.5 million in 2016. The Vietnamese – Belarusian Intergovernmental Committee on Economic – Trade and Scientific – Technical Cooperation maintains annual meetings. In May 2015, Vietnam and member countries of the Asia-Europe Economic Alliance, including Belarus, officially signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in Kazakhstan. The two countries also signed a number of framework agreements on economic, trade, diplomatic, educational and aviation cooperation and local cooperation. Belarus has helped Vietnam train many highly qualified officials and experts. Around 70 Vietnamese students are currently studying in Belarus. The two sides’ scientific and technological agencies have closely cooperated with many projects which have been effectively implemented and gained positive outcomes. Labour cooperation has been considered as a new direction and local cooperation has been actively strengthened.
