Over 3,000 people join the launching of Hanoi Open Running Tournament
Hanoimoi newspaper and Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports jointly held a ceremony to launch the 43rd Hanoimoi Newspaper Open Running Tournament for Peace 2016 at the Quan Ngua Palace on June 21.

The 43rd Hanoimoi Newspaper Open Running Tournament for Peace 2016 is part of significant and practical activities to welcome the success of the 12th Party Congress the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils and all-level People’s Councils for 2016-2021.
Hanoimoi Newspaper Open Running Tournament that is a traditional event of Hanoi, has become a large-scale mass movement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Ngo Van Quy confirmed that the tournament has spread widely with a positive impact to the life and spirit of the local residents in the past time.
Hanoimoi Newspaper Open Running Tournament for Peace aims to contribute to encourage the city's entire strata building healthy lifestyles, he added.
The Vice Chairman expressed his hopes the tournament will have new achievements and success.
Also at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Ba Dinh district Nguyen Quang Trung affirmed to actively propagate the 43rd Hanoimoi Newspaper Open Running Tournament for Peace 2016 in order to strengthen cooperation and friendship with the other localities and international friends.
At the launching ceremony, more than 3,000 runners including workers, civil servants, soldiers and students from 52 units in the Ba Dinh district participated in the event.
The final round of the 43rd Hanoimoi Newspaper Open Running Tournament for Peace 2016 will be held at the Hoan Kiem lake on October 9, which is expected to attract more than 2,000 runners.
