The Capital City to enhance cooperation for technology development and smart city

The Hanoi People’s Committee issued Official Letter 5285/UBND-KGVX dated October 24, giving opinion on boosting cooperation in the field of information technology and smart city development.



 

In response to the document, Hanoi People’s Committee gives instruction as following.

The Department of Information and Communications in cooperation with Department of Home Affairs and relevant units shall act as advisor to the People’s Committee in issuing decision on establishing inter-disciplinary working group, which will perform tasks under Announcement 905-TB/TU dated October 5, 2017 on conclusion of the Municipal Party Committee’s Standing Commission. It shall also cooperate with Viettel, FPT and relevant enterprises to finalize the proposal and submit it to the Municipal People’s Committee to suggest measures for further application in city’s works.

The Department of Home Affairs in coordination with Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies shall suggest organization model and human resource training plan for Hanoi Centralized Monitoring and Control Center.



 
The Department of Transport shall consider technology measures which were surveyed in the business trip, and suggest to the Municipal People’s Committee, so that the latter will consider and select transport routes to launch smart traffic system. They shall also submit reports on Traffic Management Center on Kim Ma Street to the People’s Committee for further consideration and submission to the Party Committee’s Standing Commission.

The Department of Health, Department of Transport, Police Department, Police Department of Fire Fighting and Prevention shall consider and propose a model of receiving, operating information of transport, crime prevention and control in public places, emergencies, fire fighting and prevention, search, rescue and health under the Centralized Monitoring and Control Center.

When encountering problems beyond their authority, the authorities shall report to the Department of Information and Communications, so that the latter will sum up information and report to the People’s Committee.
