The head of the Vietnamese government made the request during a meeting with Charles James Boyd Bowman, General Director of the Trump Organization's projects in Vietnam, on March 19.

The joint venture between Hung Yen Investment and Development Group JSC and IDG Capital, representing the Trump Organization, is currently developing a high-end urban, eco-tourism, sports and golf complex in Hung Yen Province. The project, which adheres to the Trump Organization's highest standards of service, has an estimated investment of US$1.5 billion.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh said that since Vietnam and the US established a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in September 2023, bilateral economic and trade relations have continued to grow sustainably.

There remains significant potential for increased US investment in Vietnam, he said.

The prime minister expressed his hope that US investors would continue to expand their investments in the country.

He welcomed the business interest in the Hung Yen project, and assured that Vietnamese authorities would conduct a comprehensive review to accelerate its implementation in accordance with laws while ensuring mutual benefits for all stakeholders.

"Vietnam is also actively pursuing administrative reforms to streamline decision-making processes for concrete and quantifiable results," Chinh said.

The prime minister also encouraged closer collaboration with Vietnamese enterprises, integrating them into the organization’s global ecosystem and supply chain.

Moreover, Chinh urged the company to promote high-level visits between the two nations and support US policies that are consistent with bilateral relations, Vietnam's economic landscape, and global developments.

He stressed the importance of recognizing Vietnam as a market economy and facilitating the country's access to US high-tech equipment.

Charles James Boyd Bowman expressed his gratitude for the support and close cooperation from Vietnamese ministries and Hung Yen Province.

He said that the company is working closely with local authorities to expedite the project's progress for completion in March 2027, in time for the APEC 2027.

The project is expected to become a world-renowned golf destination, he added.

He also said that the company is exploring additional investment opportunities in Vietnam in various sectors.

The general director reiterated his commitment to promoting visits by the Trump Organization leaders to Vietnam, strengthening bilateral ties, and enhancing Vietnam's high-quality global image, including its standing with the US government.
