Vietnam Grand Sale 2025: Retailers focus on high-quality goods
The annual production campaign becomes helpful only when it gains customers’ trust by qualified products.
THE HANOI TIMES — As the Vietnam Grand Sale 2025 in full swing, particularly in major cities such as Hanoi, retail firms focus on high-quality goods and services to boost sales and increase customers' trust.
The Vietnam Grand Sale 2025, a nationwide promotional campaign, launched on June 14, will last until July 14, is designed to strengthen Vietnamese brands and stimulate retail sales, both direct and online, with discounts up to 100%.

"With a commitment to quality, retailers can create a positive customer experience that drives sales, fosters loyalty, and strengthens their brand reputation," Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Director of Co.op Mart supermarket in Ha Dong District, shared with The Hanoi Times.
Many attractive promotions have been launched in Hanoi. "It's a great time for customers to save money while getting good quality products. We implement rigorous quality control measures at all stages, offer guarantees and warranties, address customer feedback and complaints promptly."

Co.op Mart supermarket system has launched great promotions for over 1,000 products to during the campaign. "This year is Co.op Mart's 15th birthday. From now until July 14, we are offering discounts of up to 50% on many goods, especially fresh and processed food, beverages, and cosmetics. It will be an attractive shopping experience for Hanoi residents."
"Our company has been negotiating with suppliers on the prices of many products since the beginning of the second quarter of 2025 to offer discounts ranging from 20% to 50% for promotional programs," Dung told The Hanoi Times.
"However, when shopping online, consumers must be savvy to find safe sales on prestigious websites, from reputable sellers and be wary of deals that seem too good to be true," said the director.
For Ngoc Chau, a 42-year-old real estate broker in Cau Giay District, in her free time, she often browses some social platforms and watches live streams to look for discounts. "Many promotion programs start at midnight with discounts of up to 70% or 'buy one, get one free,' so I often stay up late to seek sales," she said.

“To avoid buying counterfeit products, be wary of steep discounts or promotions. Buy from reputable retailers, stick to trusted sources with a proven track record, examine packaging and labels carefully, and check the manufacturer's website or other reliable sources to verify the product's authenticity,” Chau told The Hanoi Times.

Hanoi's active moves
In response to the Vietnam Grand Sale 2025, WinMart supermarkets in Hanoi are offering more than 300 items with discounts, including buy-one-get-one-free and buy-two-get-one-free.
"The company has been working with suppliers to ensure product quality during the promotion campaign. Until July 15, shoppers at WinMart supermarkets can enjoy discounts of up to 50% on fresh local and imported meat and fish, and up to 30% on fruits and vegetables," Tran Thi Dung, Manager of WinMart supermarket on Ton That Thuyet Street in Nam Tu Liem District, shared with The Hanoi Times.
Meanwhile, Aeon and Vincom malls have launched several promotional programs. Aeon offers 50% off on fast-moving consumer goods, buy 2 get 1 offers on laundry products, and various gifts. In addition, household and electrical appliances from brands such as Elmich, Lock&Lock, and Bluestone will be discounted by up to 50%.
The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has been strengthening inspections and handling smuggled goods, counterfeits, intellectual property violations, and food safety breaches in addition to heightened scrutiny of origin fraud and illegal transshipment activities on e-commerce.
According to Vo Nguyen Phong, Director of the department, market authorities have been monitoring the supply-demand situation at major supermarkets and inspecting key distributors in the city to ensure product quality and supplies.
"Suppliers and producers are encouraged to use hi-tech applications to trace origin and verify information on food safety standards," said Phong.

Trinh Quang Duc, Director of the Hanoi’s Market Surveillance, said they will closely monitor high-risk areas, strictly inspect imported and exported goods, and cross-border transportation, especially during Hanoi’s concentrated promotional program in 2025.
The department is calling on e-commerce platforms and social media networks to commit to stronger compliance measures to prevent the sale of counterfeit, prohibited, or untraceable goods.
To support the intensified crackdown, Hanoi’s special task force will define the specific responsibilities of each enforcement agency and its supporting units.
"Consumers and businesses are also urged to help authorities curb the sale of counterfeit, fake, and smuggled goods on online shopping platforms, particularly since e-commerce has been booming in the capital city," Duc said.
