Vietnam, Morocco strengthen partnership through high-level official visit

This official visit paves the way for stronger bilateral parliamentary and multifaceted cooperation.

THE HANOI TIMES — Major Moroccan newspapers ran headlines about the official visit of Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman, Tran Thanh Man, to Morocco from July 24 to 27, 2025. The newspapers called the visit a milestone in bilateral cooperation.

Le Matin, a prominent Moroccan daily, covered the cooperation agreement signed on July 25 by the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Moroccan House of Representatives.

The paper described the agreement as an important step to strengthen parliamentary ties and foster friendship between the two nations.

La Vie Eco, a leading Moroccan economic newspaper, stated that the agreement seeks to bolster cooperation in parliament, legislation, economics, and trade, establishing a robust basis for an expanded partnership.

The media also covered the meeting between National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and reported that the two leaders discussed ways to create new momentum for bilateral cooperation.

MCG24, a Moroccan online television channel, highlighted the historical ties and mutual desire to elevate the bilateral relationship. Meanwhile, Al-Omk, a news portal focused on news, politics, and society, described the visit as a success for parliamentary diplomacy.

Moroccan national television and radio provided detailed coverage of the welcome ceremony, talks, signing event, and meetings.

They emphasized the shared hope for a new stage of cooperation as the two countries approach the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026.
