Over 7,000 entries submitted to the Happy Vietnam 2023 contest

Happy Vietnam 2023, an online photo and video contest on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn, has received more than 7,000 entries after four months of launch, showcasing the beauty of nature, landscape and people in Vietnam and abroad. The event is organized by the Foreign Information Service Authority under the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Vietnam's 100 Best workplaces in 2023 announced
On November 23, Anphabe JSC, under the auspices of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), announced the 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam. This year's ranking is divided into categories: large and medium enterprises. Nestlé Vietnam took the top spot among large companies, while PepsiCo Vietnam LLC topped the list of the top 100 medium-sized companies.
Danang attracts most tourists from South Korea
The Ministry of Justice of South Korea has released data showing a significant increase in the number of South Korean tourists traveling abroad in the first nine months of 2023. Vietnam is the second most popular destination, with the beach city of Danang attracting the most South Korean tourists. The number of South Korean tourists visiting Vietnam from January to September increased by 389.7% year-on-year, reaching 524,373 visitors.
Foreign Ministry seeks ways to evacuate Vietnamese from Myanmar
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on a solution to repatriating Vietnamese from Myanmar amid increasingly complicated conflicts in the northern region of Myanmar, the ministry's spokesman said on November 23. The ministry said about 700 Vietnamese are safe. It is trying to clarify information about the others.
Armed clashes between the Myanmar government and an ethnic rebel alliance have been ongoing since late October. The rebel forces have reportedly occupied the northern region and blocked trade activities with China.
Vietnamese stocks no longer cheap targets: FiinGroup
Excluding the banking, finance and real estate sectors, Vietnamese stocks are no longer cheap as the market's price-earnings (P/E) ratio is now at its peak, market data provider FiinGroup said at a conference on November 22.
The company revealed that the P/E ratio of the Vietnamese market was 13.1 as of November 8, lower than the average of 14.2 in 2015-2020. Excluding banking, finance and real estate stocks, the ratio reaches 23.5.
Vietnam's textile and garment export turnover to reach US$44 billion in 2024

Vietnam's textile and garment industry is predicted to earn US$40 billion in export turnover this year, down 9% from 2022, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) on November 23. Vietnam exports garment products to 104 countries and territories. However, it is facing many difficulties due to global fluctuations this year. The industry plans to achieve an export turnover of US$44 billion in 2024.
Vietnam to remain vigilant against possible respiratory diseases from China
The General Department of Preventive Medicine contacted the World Health Organization office in Vietnam and Chinese authorities for further reports of pathogens, respiratory diseases and clusters of pneumonia in children.
The Department will closely follow the case and propose appropriate solutions to the Ministry of Health to prevent the disease in Vietnam. According to WHO, the northern region of China has reported an increase in influenza-like illness since mid-October.
Quang Ninh receives 14 million travelers as of mid-November
As of mid-November, the northern province of Quang Ninh has received 14 million tourists, 1.5 times more than the same period last year. The province has strengthened ties with foreign localities in Laos and China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, improved service standards for cruises and yachts, and organized several cultural and sports events to attract foreign visitors.
In the future, Quang Ninh will continue to expand the network of eateries and accommodation facilities, launch summer vacation programs, and develop night tourism products.
