Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 opens with a message of peace

The event aims to connect young overseas Vietnamese with their roots and inspire them to contribute to peace, culture, and national development.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Vietnam Summer Camp 2025, themed "Together We Write the Story of Peace," opened on the evening of July 16 at the World Coffee Museum in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

Hosted by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event brought together 110 young Vietnamese students from 31 countries and territories.

During the opening ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that the camp conveys a message of national unity to young Vietnamese people living abroad.

She encouraged the students to become a bridge between their homeland and the rest of the world by contributing to ongoing national peace through knowledge, national pride, and creativity.

Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said the program is a testament to the Party and State's national unity policy towards overseas Vietnamese.

Nguyen Duc Minh, a 19-year-old Vietnamese man living in Russia, said the camp offers a meaningful experience that helped him better understand Vietnamese culture, history, and development. It also allowed him to spread Vietnamese values to the world.

Dak Lak is undergoing significant transformation and has great development potential thanks to its strategic location and expanding international partnerships.
