VITM Hanoi 2025 honors 155 organizations, 69 tourism leaders

As Vietnam’s tourism rebounds stronger than ever, VITM Hanoi 2025 shines a spotlight on the industry’s remarkable success story.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) Hanoi 2025 hosted the prestigious VITA Awards 2025 ceremony on April 10, recognizing 155 organizations and 69 individuals for their exceptional contributions to Vietnam’s tourism industry in 2024. The honored entities and individuals serve as a trusted reference for both domestic and international tourists seeking high-quality, unique travel experiences.

This year’s accolades included 10 standout tourism events of 2024, 22 exemplary leaders of local tourism associations, 11 top travel company directors, and 10 outstanding hotel and resort managers. The awards also recognized excellence in international and domestic travel services, resorts, culinary establishments, training institutions, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) tourism providers.

Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that the VITA Awards have long been a driving force for innovation, creativity, and service quality improvement in the sector. By honoring outstanding businesses and individuals, the awards also raise public awareness of tourism’s vital role in national socio-economic development.

Also at the event, the Vietnam Tourism Association launched its 2025 emulation program, themed "Vietnamese Tourism Steps into a New Era: Green and Digital Transformation." The initiative will establish clear "Green Criteria" for travel agencies, accommodations, restaurants, and destinations, promoting sustainable practices nationwide.

Additionally, the association will guide member businesses in adopting digital transformation and cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance tourism products and services—further boosting the industry’s economic impact.

Official figures show that Vietnam’s tourism sector achieved remarkable growth last year, welcoming 17.5 million international visitors — a 38.9% increase compared to 2023, reflecting the industry’s strong recovery and development.
