Vietnam, South Korea cooperate on hosting APEC Summits
Vietnam and South Korea pledged to work closely together to ensure the success of the APEC Summits in 2025 and 2027.
THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnam and South Korea have agreed to intensify their cooperation for the successful 2025 and 2027 APEC Summits, to be held in South Korea and Vietnam, respectively.
During the meeting on July 29 between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and South Korean President's Special Envoy Park Chang Dal, both countries expressed their belief that the summits are pivotal milestones in their multilateral collaboration and will contribute significantly to the development of the Asia-Pacific region.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked President Lee Jae Myung for sending a special envoy to Vietnam shortly after taking office, which reflects the new administration’s high regard for Vietnam - South Korea relations.
He reaffirmed that Vietnam values South Korea as one of its top partners and looks forward to deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership in a more substantive, effective, and sustainable manner.
Special Envoy Park stressed that South Korea views Vietnam as a centerpiece of its regional foreign policy and expressed a strong desire to strengthen cooperation in politics, the economy, science and technology, digital transformation, and people-to-people exchanges.
He also called for favorable conditions for South Korean businesses and citizens living and working in Vietnam.
Both sides agreed to continue close coordination at regional and international forums, reinforcing their commitment to peace, stability, and inclusive development in the Asia-Pacific region.
